Perhaps it’s the flavor of the old port. Maybe it’s the gentleness of the sea breeze or the warmth of its people, but there’s definitely something about Mazatlán that makes romance blossom. Surround yourself with breathtaking scenery and the unique colonial flavor of the Méxican Pacific’s largest commercial port, since 1531. Stay at the "Zona Dorada", where you’ll find most tourist attractions and modern resorts, with all commodities. A sea walk or "Malecón" is the perfect setting for long, relaxing strolls along the bay.

Reach the port and downtown area of Old Mazatlán. Admire its Moorish Cathedral; the Plazuela Machado, site of the annual Carnival; and the recently rebuilt Angela Peralta Theater.

Visit the Archaeological Museum; take a look at the old Carranza Spanish Fort, where Mazatlán took its stand against French invaders in the 1860’s; watch divers plunge into the sea from "El Mirador"; and enjoy a panoramic view of Mazatlán and the Pacific from the southern heights and the "Cerro del Crestón", where the world’s second tallest lighthouse is located.
